The Society for the Protection of Ancient Ibiza was formed in 2008 to safeguard, catalogue and preserve the archaeological heritage and to codify existing research into the fascinating past of the Island of Ibiza.
Thanks to its location on a major trade route in the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza has a rich and varied history going back to early Phoenician traders in the 5th Century BCE. Once a thriving Carthaginian trading city, Ibiza has directly witnessed the rise and fall of great civilisations from Carthage to Rome, and colonisation from the Byzantine Empire, Visigoth and Vandal invaders, Moorish caliphs and Barbary Corsair pirates.

An urgent update
We here at the SPAI have been deeply concerned this summer over the whereabouts of our assistant Elisabeth Perl. We've learned that many people have joined in the hunt for her, and that a number of puzzles and clues have appeared on the internet providing information.
We, too, have found a puzzle ourselves. We've linked to it on the What we've found page of our site. In the spirit of previous puzzles, and of Pioneer ProDJ, we are offering a Pioneer CDJ-400 to the first person who solves this puzzle, and helps us find Elisabeth.
Thanks for your help.
